How To Stop Nail Biting

It’s easy enough to learn how to stop nail biting but the first thing you need to do is make up your mind that you really want to do it.  It’s like any other bad habit – like smoking or gambling – unless you decide you want to do it for the right reasons you’ll never be able to break this ugly habit.

So before you start looking for how to stop nail biting the first thing you need to do is determine why you bite them at all.  What is it that compels you to put your germ laden fingers in your mouth and bite of your finger nails, chew off you cuticles, and leave the tips of your fingers looking like bloody stumps open to all sorts of infectious bacteria?

Great points…I would note that as someone who really doesn’t write on blogs much (in fact, this may be my first post), I don’t think the term “lurker” is very flattering to a non-posting reader. It’s not your fault at all, but perhaps the blogosphere could come up with a better, non-creepy name for the 90% of us that enjoy just reading the content .
